A Minimalist Drawing

Here i am going over pencil marks with black ink. The initial pencil drawing was made using a technique known as 'psychic automatism' - a process which utilises subconscious, automatic mark-making and helps to form organic, abstract shapes.

Drawings

Some patterns from the last few days. All are inspired by the tragedy of war, including (but not limited to) the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Powerful, wealthy people decide whether or not to go to war but it’s everyday people who are most affected by the destruction caused by it. These drawings focus on the people who are directly impacted by military conflict.

All are black ink on white mount board.
